40 (or so) days through the Bible

Two beautiful women run this blog, and I have been truly inspired! I love the idea of posting the steps I take to reach a goal! So, I am going to start 3 different threads on this blog. (among other things (: )

I was saved at the age of 13 at an AWANA's meeting. That was 17 years ago, as I am 30 now. In the last 17 years, I have tried unsuccessfully to read through the Bible. sigh And I think it is high time that I got my act in check, and finish the Bible! So, I am going to copy from Be Not Conformed and do a 40 day read through the Bible. I know, this sounds sort of crazy and extreme, but really, it isn't! I simply did as these ladies did, and took the total number of pages in my Bible, divided them by 40, and arrived at the number of 25. (actually, it came to 26 and a part of a page, but to make it easy for my faulty memory, I rounded down to 25.....hence the "40 or so"found in the title (: )

I am also considering a 30 day fast from TV, and a 30 days to a clean home challenge for myself.
